The local flock of turkeys have been growing bolder, getting closer to the house each morning, and yesterday, they walked right up to our window. There are ten of them now, all quite large, and the cats like to watch them wandering about outside. Bears... In... Space!!

I finally got to see one of the bears at my day-job. I was talking to a customer when a few people all approached the windows. I was able to stand in such a way as to look outside while still sounding professional on the phone. I guess others were on break, the women cooing and aww-ing as they all watched. Let's see... we've now had five bear sightings in the company parking lot in just the last week.

Oh, and the company is going to hold a large picnic in the exact same lot on Wednesday. Yannow, with a lot of outdoor cooking in large quantities.

Our new shifts started this week. Not a huge difference for me personally, only an hour later than before. (4:30pm-1am) Same Friday/Saturday "weekend". Same boss. New desk, new seat, new computer.

Due to a variety of altered shifts, some overtime, and primarily shifts that would end just after midnight or begin just before it, I just had a streak of 34 consecutive days where I was on the phone at least some time during the calendar day, from 4/15 to 5/18.
