Doing pretty well here at Arisia overall. Decided to fly out to Boston on Friday, got in with no real problems, grabbed some people, and had a dinner at Addidis Red Sea Ethiopian that could not be beat. Went well overall. Got to see people, bit fewer than prior years. Met new friends at Barfleet, got some good person time and cuddle time, and had fun. Now it's time to fly home, sitting at Logan just letting my mind rest.

Also did a bit of antique shopping, pretty stuff out there to buy....

Busy weekend.

Went to Barfleet. Two quantum torpedos, two hits of horta joice, and two drinks of plasma coolant. Heavy damage to Captain Dashing's ship after which I was boarded by Starfleet and forced to face 10 beautiful female officers.

I surrendered. What can I do, I was screwed....

Justice was served.

Well, despite the ddos annoyance at work (it's pretty seriously big) we got everything stabilized and I took off for Arisia. Jumped on an earlier flight than 6pm (which was delayed), there are reasons for getting full fare tickets. Due to a massive DDOS attack on my office network that we're mitigating I will be unable to travel out to Arisia. So I'll be missing the weekend. Again.

Alternative is I fly out tomorrow, and walk away from the train ticket tonight. Couple of hundred.

Had a really good evening last night, went over to have dinner at the new Akbar's with Bec. Short summary, even better than the best Indian food; apparently the place was bought by the first chef from long ago, and he's doing a very good job of it. Highly recommended, will go with Alex as soon as I am well ( Read more... )
