No Arisia this year....
So after thinking about it for a bit, and given that I'm getting over a UTI and possibly some kidney issue I'm going to skip Arisia this year. Also because I'm fat.
But really, the reasons are kind of interesting: I really busted my ass last year running full bore parties at the con, and at the end of it I felt kind of hollow. So there's that. Coupling that with the whole thing about barfleet and some kind of general weirdness about Boston in general leads me to think "Do I really want to blow a couple of thousand on people in Boston this year?"
The answer is "meh". I was going to switch over to Lunacon, but it looks like that con isn't happening for 2015, and thus is probably dead. Cons don't work when they skip a year, think of Disclave and PHilcon for perfect examples. No, I guess I'll put the effort into Balticon and see how that pans out.
