Welp, I'm just sitting here watching the tumbleweeds drift past. So, is there anyone else wandering through these lost halls of the 'net past?

• It was easier to figure out where to market written work back when I actually had contact with people in the local publishing concerns. Granted I was writing for smallish circulation magazines under various pseudonyms and sometimes with no byline at all but atleast I was getting words in print out there in the world. Took another walk following the same route as the last couple days. Today I walked all the way to Hwy 78 and walked around Walgreens for a bit before heading back. A round trip of about 2.2 miles give or take a few steps. My knee started giving me trouble on the way back at about a third of a mile towards the house. I don't know why I haven't done this before now. I guess I finally got tired of having to bank switch the remote every time I move from one room to another. If I haven't yet I'd like to say thank you to those of you who answered my question regarding cell phones from some months back. I'm still using the phone I've been using since 2008. Last night found me looking over some old files. Stuff I wrote back in the 80s and early 90s. Trying to deal with the old formats was and is an interesting exercise. It's weeks like this one that make me wonder if a commitment to doing a post a week here is a good idea. There's really nothing in the week that I can find worth remark. Another week has gone by. Not much has happened and it has been a pretty dull week. I'm looking forward to the series finale of Lost this Sunday evening.

The recent Verizon commercials have made me want to get some Big Red gum. I don't think I've had any since I was a kid. Will have to remedy that, I think.

Nothing really new. I'm still researching netbooks though I am now sure that a netbook is the best solution for what I've been looking for. I've been a bit sick this week but I think it's probably just allergies ( Read more... )
