Like so many others I sat entranced in front of the TV from fairly early morning until a late lunchtime on Saturday. A coronation really is a momentous occasion, and this was the first UK one in my lifetime.

Yesterday was our general election - we went to vote, it was all very pleasant. Our two sitting MHKs were re-elected*, but much more interesting to me was that someone I have known for a long time (member of the bookshop committee) was elected in his constituency. What have I been doing these past few days?

On Tuesday my sister and I went to an event at Cregneash - it was in one of the small cottages and limited to 15 people so I was glad to have been able to get tickets.
