Last night I went out for dinner with one of my favourite authors! Diana Xarissa writes 'cosy mysteries' set on the island. She lived here for some years when her children were little, before her husband's job took them back to Buffalo, and the island inspired her to start writing ( Read more... )

This morning it was grey and raining heavily - it definitely felt like autumn. I was due to meet my friend Chris, who is the NYM's mother, for lunch and it looked as if it would be gloomy. Except by 12MD the sun suddenly came out - here is a picture of where we had lunch

Yesterday evening S2C, D-d and I went out for a meal with a friend from a very long time ago. When we lived in the NE of England we had a group of friends with whom we played D&D every week.
