Some cupcakes I made for a friend  - they're actually based on a white choc mud cake recipe but they don't really come out white chocolate-ish. If that makes sense. Either way, they taste nice.

I admit, the Sprinkles cupcakes (such as the cupcakes in my icon) intrigue me. I've never had one (I don't live anywhere close to CA), but I do hope to try them someday. Today I baked cupcakes with my cousins. I just used a box mix (something I only really do when I am desperate) with chocolate pudding mixed in, because I didn't know what was in my aunt's kitchen, plus my cousins are...a handful, to put it nicely, but it was pretty fun and very tiring.

having a dinner party (!!!) tonight...that makes me feel old.

i saw this awesome box of gourmet cupcake mix at world market and bought it--it has mix for chocolate caramel cupcakes, strawberry vanilla cupcakes and lemon poppyseed cupcakes.  the cupcakes turned out great.  very moist and a great crumb.  the frosting was not so great.  it called for ( Read more... )

drove from d.c. to south carolina this weekend and obvi felt it necessary to make cupcakes for the road!  vanilla with choco frosting, and all sorts of random sprinx.  the flowers--i didn't make them,  i wish i did, but i got them for xmas.  mommy loves me.
