What ho, old chaps! I’m new to this fandom - very glad it exists - and wanted to share this bit of analysis. After reading you may roll your eyes and say, “Thanks, Capt. Obvious” - but when I’ve got a reading on my chest I need to cough it up, and “The Gift of the Emperor” sat on me heavier than most.

The second series of BBC's drama 'Sherlock' aired recently and it got me thinking. Just as this show is a re-imagining of Sherlock Holmes in the 21st century, could there be a feasible re-imagining of Raffles in the 21st century? I find the clothing of the Raffles stories to be quite interesting -- the coats, hats, shoes etc. So I'm thinking of doing a series about various items of fashion and clothing. Just a bit of fun for all of us!
