Contemplating my naval

This evening I got into a conversation with an old friend (known him for 20 years) about how we have changed since we were kids. Both of us came to the conclusion that in most ways we feel exactly the same way we did when we were about 16, with the exception of a little more knowlege and some interestingly earned aches and pains. I used to fence and ride horses a lot more than I do now, and he used to be a Navy SEAL, plus each of us has a few car accidents mixed in. No doubt that the reason for this contemplation is that his birthday was a couple of weeks ago, and mine is next week, and I will be officially 'old' in the minds of people under 20, or at least according to the people that attend school with me. Or previously did attend school with me. 35 isn't old when I contemplate that women in my family often live to be over 100, but it is old enough to consider some things, like if I act my age at all (I'm pretty sure that I don't) and if any of these rumors about women hitting their sexual peak at 35 are true (that sounds fun).

How do all of you feel that age has changed you, better or worse? Any wierd things that make you feel particularly old or young?

I know one of my friends posted something about American Girls coming up with a doll that is from the 1970's which just isn't right...I remember the 70's, and I'm not sure that I want a doll that celebrates most of what happened then. Besides Star Wars. And a few other great pieces of pop phenomena.
