Some of you may know that I recieved a new sewing machine for XMas. I am so thrilled to be sewing again on my Viking Platinum 775. It's a bit of a step up from my Brother but easy enough to figure out...especially when you read the manual. I finally finished my yellow monstrosity with barely time to sleep before the picnic. I hate taking things down to the wire like that...it leads to sloppiness, which I think is apparent in the workmanship of the garment, IMO. I didn't get to make/attach trim around the neckline. I sat down and made my hat today. I looked over a few of my fashion plate ref books but kinda just winged it. It looks simple and pretty. No muss, no fuss. I like it.
