I should have posted this nearly a month ago. Our broody hen successfully hatched three chicks, of the two we brought inside, one survived.

We celebrated Independence Day with barbecue, fireworks, and family. M grilled burgers and hotdogs, our neighbors were in great form with illegal fireworks while we used smaller ones in the yard, and H came by after work to join us in the celebration.

I've read somewhere that the average homeowner doesn't stay in the home longer than five years. Funny thing averages. We've been here 11 years. Our three closest neighbors were here before we moved in and until last Friday they were all still here.

We traded in M's mustang on a new truck for me. 2020 F-150 STX. Nicest truck I've ever owned. C said it's the nicest truck he's ever touched. We've been following Dave Ramsey's financial advice for a couple of decades now, so, of course, we paid cash.

I have been feeling like last year sucked so much that I want a year off from trying. Obviously that is not a feasible long term plan, so instead I will push myself to actually do stuff.
