Mother's Day morning, while I was looking forward to sleeping in, I wasn't too cranky to be leapt upon and showered with greetings by Shrek at 7:something, because that made me awake enough to thoroughly enjoy being serenaded by Luke with a "Mother's Day Medly" of his own creation, encompassing tunes from - *giggles just thinking about it* - and in this order:
Smells Like Teen Spirit
The Wheels on the Bus
Bingo
Freebird
Iron Man
salkdjfsladkjfsladkfjsl dklsd. It was brilliant. Then he scored me a goal at his hockey game.
I didn't see Bookworm until noon, but that was fine as we'd spent all of Saturday at a feis in upstate New York, and she'd brought home 5 trophies. Sunday I spent at baseball practice, a baseball game and a hockey game, and there was no place I'd rather be.
A mugging, a song, a goal, and trophies. Sounds like the perfect Mother's Day to me.
