The SuperBowl is a big thing back home (duhhhh), in fact, American football is a big thing in general; it's like Europe's rugby or actual football obsession. We are obsessed with our football, and basketball at that.

I started playing volleyball when I was a freshman in high school. It was finally, my sport. I say my sport, because, throughout my life, my parents had always chosen what sports we were going to play. It was usually followed by a vehement hate of it and eventual love.

Yesterday, I attended my first MLS (major league soccer) game: the NY Red Bulls vs the San Jose Earthquakes. I have grown up on soccer, played for 9 years as center defender, and attended Stony Brook games. I haven't always loved it, in fact, I hated it at first, but I grew to love it.
