A nice, bitmapped, windowed, green phosphor, page display (1024x800) terminal using a Western Electric WE32000 processor and up to 1MB of memory from the early 1980s. The laptop I owned in the mid-1990s was 4 pounds and about 1 inch thick. Since then, it has seemed wrong to have a laptop that was heavier than that. That's been one of the reasons I don't have an Apple laptop. Alas, my schedule may not allow it to fit.

Researchers at MIT have used techniques of CT scans to create 3D images of living cells. I recently posted a single 2D slice from a CT scan.

Neat stuff.

I finally started taking the Megace ES (the synthetic form of progesterone) yesterday. The barium prep for the CT scan had a better taste. Ick. At least it's only 5 ml each day. But, still.
