I made it back to Ireland, so yay! Despite London being completely fog bound, my flight got out about 2.5 hours behind schedule. I won't go through the minutae of it all, but it was a little farcical. Not quite their fault though, and the rest of the trip was crime/fall/major disaster free. I booked my flights home today. I'm going home for Christmas..and I got business class for the price I was expected to pay for economy, especially at this late stage!
