Today, I booked my tickets to MA. I'm flying JetBlue because the flights there and back are non-stop and ironically the cheapest! I've never flown JetBlue before, but I've heard very good things about them. Plus, they still let you check a piece of luggage for free so that's a good thing. Today, I woke up bright and early at 5:45am and I didnt even hit snooze :o) I wanted to get there early because I didnt have a chance to pick up my packet and bib number the day before. I decided to practice more with my SB-600 aka a fancy flash for my Nikon D80 and have been reading up on photography techniques for both indoor and outdoor. I started reading about flash diffusers and bouncers and was just facinated how you could manipulate light in so many ways! My first days at my new job at Charles Schwab has been pretty good! I've been experimenting with times in order to make it to downtown Austin. So far, it's taken about 30 mins with no traffic, but I'm sure all of that will change on Monday when school starts. I've been shadowing the girl I will be replacing and there's a LOT to learn! I've been trying to train Coco to "play dead". I've been working with her maybe 10 mins for the past 2 days since I dont want to get her fat with treats, but so far our progress has been really good! Maybe by the end of this week, she'll have it mastered, but so far so good! Check out the video--she actually lays down after "bang" and stays down.
