MA, here I come!

Jun 01, 2009 21:30

Today, I booked my tickets to MA. I'm flying JetBlue because the flights there and back are non-stop and ironically the cheapest! I've never flown JetBlue before, but I've heard very good things about them. Plus, they still let you check a piece of luggage for free so that's a good thing. I also booked Steve's flight back to TX so I'm super excited! He'll be flying to Boston from Iraq--dont have any time to waste especially when he's cutting it close to Jackie's wedding (where I'm a bridesmaid).

While at work, I hatch off the days as they go and noticed today was exactly the 1/3 way point of Steve's deployment! Whoo hoo! I get to see him NEXT month (can you believe it's June already???)!

1/3 down, 2/3 left to go
After work, I came home for a bit and Lisa lkf03 called and opened her birthday gift that I got her on the phone. I am SO glad she enjoyed her gift! She's got a thing for lil' AZN babies so I got her the Mr & Mrs Chin salt & pepper shaker, Mr Chin timer to replace the Mickey Mouse one I bought her for xmas some years ago that was broken, and a Monopoly card game which I told her would be the only version of Monopoly I'd ever play with her :oD

Afterwards, I headed out to meet my in-laws to finally pick up Salado after 1 1/2 weeks! The house certainly felt a lil' less crazy without him around. I wasn't used to him not following me upstairs when it came time to sleep, but he was finally home and I had one more cupcake leftover from Coco's 2nd birthday for him. I gave my petsitter 2 and she made Coco a card that included pics of her dogs eating the cupcake...she's really sweet :o)

fuzzy face making a mess on the couch--he has a much needed grooming appt this weekend!
I took it easy tonight and watched Jon & Kate Plus 8 and now I'm watching some newly wed game show. I finished off my cottage cheese and let Coco lick the insides. The container got stuck on her head a few times which was HILARIOUS! She cracks me up with her fat head :oD

I took this pic in the "pinhole" mode on the camera...I guess to simulate a Holga pic
And last, but not least, my Aerogarden salad greens are on week 3! I can start harvesting, but I wasnt in a salad mood today...maybe tomorrow.

Oh! So, I started reading Anthony Keidis' (singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers) bio called Scar Tissue that my bro got me for xmas. It's really good and I had to make myself put it down last night. I'm not sure what it is, but I've been a non-fiction kick this year--practically every book I've read has been non-fiction which is not my usual preference, but I'm finding them to be very enjoyable.

I think I'll head up to bed now so I can get back to reading :o) Gnite!
