I decided to practice more with my SB-600 aka a fancy flash for my Nikon D80 and have been reading up on photography techniques for both indoor and outdoor. I started reading about flash diffusers and bouncers and was just facinated how you could manipulate light in so many ways! So, before heading out, I strapped on the flash and practiced bouncing the light off walls and the ceiling with the dogs. I must say, the pictures do look nicer than with a harsh flash and shadow. Hopefully with some more practice, I can improve on my picture taking skillz.
I know my friends list has a lot of peeps who are all into photography--can anyone give any pointers for taking pictures with a mega flash both indoors and out? Recommend a good diffuser? I saw the Fong ones, but those are a bit $$. I saw a lot of DIY and the cheaper Sto-fen. Suggestions?
Here are my test subjects:

Other than that, I went bowling with Ken, Veronica & baby Kellen along with Veronica's daughter and friends for her birthday. Ken and I were tied for first place until the very last frame and he had to get a strike...boo! Well, 2nd out of 12 isnt so bad after all...
