I've not been around as long as some of you, only a 4.5 year vet here, and I've never doubted my desire to play the game or stay subscribed in all that time until now. I don't know what to do. :(

I love my Storm/Electricity Defender. Is the second character I ever made, and my 2nd 50. I've got vet badges dating back to Jan 2005. So why, oh why is it when I join a PUG I usually get at least one person telling me not to use one storm power or another? No other powerset I've played gets so much hostility in PUG play. I've been global hiding while working through my I19 respecs, but last night someone spotted my bots MM, Demerit Vendor, standing quietly in the corner and felt compelled to send multiple tells to both the character and my global while I was in the midst of putting IOs back into their slots.  There's nothing quite as aggravating as the repeated " ( Read more... )

A friend of mine saw a documentary on Discovery called Gamer Generation, which had a little bit of CoH in it. Unfortunately, what little it had pretty much grossly misrepresented the game, even getting facts such as the level cap wrong (they say it's 60). Every so often, someone complains about high auction house prices (i.e. 60K for a common salvage). Goldfarmers are brought up. Someone else tsks, pointing out it's wrong to simply blame the influence sellers when there's other reasons for high prices (like supply being lowered by more players being in AE where there's no drops, then coming out of ( Read more... )

I wouldn't mind if my arc had dropped from 4 stars to 3 if the people who gave me lower ratings would have commented on what they didn't like.

Then again, I think the fear of retaliation might be behind that..

It's been mentioned here and elsewhere, but not a huge fan of the ranking system.

Anyone know why the devs decided that you have to unlock auras and capes rather than have access to everything from the get-go?
