I made it to Los Angeles this afternoon for the 2009 Microsoft TechEd conference. I've been sick and the trip (which I've wanted to do for several years now and things kept coming up) was in jeopardy because of it. I generally get plenty of sleep, drink lots of water, eat (relatively) healthy foods, and walk a lot. So I don't get sick very often. ( Read more... )

It rarely happens, but occasionally I do become a bit ill. I woke up this morning with a smidge of a sore throat and immediately said to myself, "this is unacceptable" - LOL. As much as I love the autumn weather, the first chill in the air usually sends my body into a snifflefest. This year has been no exception. For the last few days I have been blowing my nose constantly, taking DayQuil and trying not to offend those around me.

I may ditch this evening's rehearsal or leave at break. (gasp!)

Our progress at rehearsal last night was, again, great. I'm so excited about this show. Yes, I know I said I hated it a week ago, but let's pretend I didn't.

At lunch today I went to see the sleep doc and get my ( test results. )

I had my sleep study done last night. I think I failed it. LOL... well, after like an hour, I realized I had to go to the bathroom, so I had to call the attendant in to unplug me, walk to the bathroom, attempt to hit the toilet without wearing my glasses (my, THAT was fun), and get re-plugged back in. Bat Boy: The Musical last night was delightfully off-the-wall, and the cast has some remarkable talent. Seeing some naked boy-tushy wasn't a bad bonus, either! Eric D. was REALLY tired from doing the dress rehearsals for his recital all afternoon, but he didn't nod off and cause a scene, as he feared he might.
