Autumn Sniffles

Sep 27, 2006 16:27

As much as I love the autumn weather, the first chill in the air usually sends my body into a snifflefest. This year has been no exception. For the last few days I have been blowing my nose constantly, taking DayQuil and trying not to offend those around me.

I may ditch this evening's rehearsal or leave at break. (gasp!)

You have my complete sympathy, Brian. I've been fighting a similar cold virus for a week now. One of the most annoying aspects of this particular cold is how much I'm sneezing. I normally never do that. I'm not one for allergies to pollen or such and have never had much of a sneeze reflex, but over the past week, it seems I'm sneezing every few minutes.

At least I can be grateful for modern medical technology. Sudafed and aspirin have made the symptoms tolerable.

I hope we both get rid of these annoying colds soon.

I got completely congested at the beginning of this week, but fortunately (knock on wood) it has pretty much cleared up. Hopefully yours will as well!! *HUGS*

I have been the same since the cold snap last week. It's allergies and the shift in weather that's affecting me. I dislike it and I was in a similar boat to you...

I'm glad we both held strong and stayed for the entire rehearsal. :-)

I think threatening tends to help. I told my body that if I didn't feel well, I'd ditch rehearsal, and that helped. I also told it if I wasn't feeling well this morning I wouldn't go to work, and lo and behold I felt much better. So I'm going to keep making threats until I feel 100% :D
