I dropped the Escape off to the shop at my specified 9:00 appointment this morning. It's now 12:22 and they still haven't even looked at it yet.

I think a "grrrr" is appropriate. I'd better not have to pay for an extra day on the rental just because of this.

*update* -- $275 later, the brakes still squeak. *hate*

Auto Glass Plus will be at the house tomorrow afternoon to fix the window (yay!) and I took tomorrow off work (double yay!)

In the meantime, I patched it up ghetto-style with a piece of cardboard and priority-mail packaging tape. It looks hot.

There's a REASON why I hate parking downtown on the street. Some asshole busted out my driver-side cargo area window. Didn't take anything that I can see, 'cause I don't keep all that much back there except blankets and emergency stuff. But fuck ( Read more... )
