Hi hi hi! I've been procrastinating this post for so freaking long, I don't even have an idea why. But here we are, actually, I kind of want to explain why this took so long...lol
Click to viewOkay, first I'll write a long excuse for this being so late, because I've already written this lol and I want to know later on, how it happened, LOL, so just avoid it and go into the lyrics :D
[Why things happened...]Okay, the thing is as it follows, this was a song I wanted to translate as soon as I heard it the first time, actually I watched the performance because I don't usually listen to short promotions, most of the time. As with doramas and movies, in general, I don't want to know much or anything by the time I first watch it, because it allows me to have my mind open to any development. Why am I even talking about this?! I'm sorry I've been watching a couple of YouTubers for the first time and now I have this need to communicate what's on my mind LOL. Either way, the point is that I was procrastinating, because it's something that I usually do without even trying. This time, I actually called these 'distractions'.
I was distracted while translating this song by one of Tsuyoshi's pieces from his latest funky album. So, I posted that first because I love answer-songs.
Some time between this whole thing Kite animation appeared and I was delighted by it, I loved it so much, I still do, so naturally, I had to sub it, and while doing so, changing the whole structure of pronouns I had thought at first, 'cause that animation had a person going after his dreams leaving his 4 friends behind, and that was it... crying! Please do enjoy that song!! and the animation.
Next, I was moving to continue with this, and the whole version of Re: LIVE happened with the included happening of Tachon being sick during that day! Well, it's not the first time :D But the song is beautiful, so I had to rearrange that post, which took a lot of time, and I'm still not completely fine with the result because it was so hard!
After that, I wanted to work on this really beautiful JUMP's song, because JUMP released a new single, and U is a song, which is ready to post too... Now, while working on that song, there was this particular word I had to google because I was puzzled about the meaning, and discovered I've already used in this song by Arashi like years ago, I think it was Circle, great song btw, but that's when I discovered that my use of this word was wrong, so I had to change that, and while doing it, edit all the song, 'cause obviously that was required! So, I got to change other parts of it and became more satisfied with the ending result to date.
After that, I remembered that I had WEST's last single unlistened... The reason for that was I wasn't that charmed by W trouble, I tried, but I think I only liked Big Shot!! and one other song and that was it. So, I tried the single, because U was also frustrating, the lyrics weren't flowing just in the right way, in my attempt of course. And that was the point I've discovered how amazing this single is. Shouko is an encouraging rockish song full of strength that charmed me enough to listened to the other songs. And they are so good, and that was the moment I've realized that I needed the first song on WEST in this journal to be translated.
But while trying to do it for Shouko, I was distracted by this amazing song, which has a pretty long name, but it's also amazingly encouraging and just right. So, that was the second WEST song I've got ready to post. Then I read on Twitter that this new single from them sounded like old-school Eito, and that was it, I couldn't agree more while listening to the other songs, I kept trying to find Eito's voices! they completely sound so Eito-poi, and I love it. Especially for these two songs, this is so much closer to my preferred music, the one that makes my heart beat to the rhythm, and made me remembered why I love so much Eito's style.
And if that wasn't distraction enough while doing all these songs at the same time, and having them all get fully polished, I became distracted by a compilation of all of Rouge's performances, which was half an hour or so of the same song, and I wasn't even tired of the freaking song or of Fuma's voice, that's when I tweeted 'I think Fuma is distracting me' and he was, thanks so much to the amazing fan who did that compilation btw.
But the thing is this whole thing happened and that's why I'm just now posting this song and will be posting the others if I don't happen to get distracted by something else.
This whole thing was redacted, and I want to apologize to anyone willing to read this, just to elaborate on my procrastinating tendencies, if this is not procrastination, I don't know what this is, I did work in some songs, but that was not even the original intention, I still want to do some subbing, but for some reason, this kind of things just happen.. here I am back to feeling like why did I take this amazingly long detour? I want to do what I wanted to do by the beginning! LOL, just ignore this whole thing...

Interesting song, right? Let's see about the notes, I think I'll put them here without a particular order... I'll try to make sense though...and I'm sorry about my mistakes, I tried to find as many references as possible. Almost all of the source pages I'll put here are in Japanese.
- First, the obvious, there's this tiny verse in English that says 'Power name Super name' I guess that's their chosen translation on 'mutekina' and 'suteki' but I didn't want to use them, those words are super short and too general for my liking, I'm sorry, but you can take them too. Besides, apparently 'Power' is a word Tsuyo has been using a lot lately.
- KinKi Kids prior debut was in this unit called "KANZAI BOYA", but if you pay attention, the romanization of the region name is Kansai, so they should be "Kansai Boya", but it was "KANZAI BOYA" because Jhonny thought with the 'ZA' it was cooler. (Source)
- The original release date was scheduled for May 5, 2020, this is the date when the two Kinki kids actually met for the first time. Also, that was Children's Day, "Kids, Children's Day, Boya...".
But due to the whole situation, the release was moved to June 17. Koichi talked about this new release date in his Jweb entry, you can read the translation here, he said '"KANZAI BOYA" will be released on June 17th, the last day that Johnny-san was fine.'. This just made me think of Tsuyo and to think of this as his way of mourning...
- The highlight of the music video is a dance that uses stage sets and costumes that resemble the 1970s funk. The MV is funky and retro. and hilarious Also in the MV we can see JK pressing the 5 on the phone, and the obvious reference to Glass no Shounen PV.
- About the origin of this song and how it all started you can read in this report, in English from ThanKs 2 YOU KinKi Kids Concert Tour 2019-2020. And apparently, this song wasn't meant to be a single, it was just a song Tsuyo wrote for a corner at the concert, and a funny one, lol, but Ko-chan wanted this to become a single. (source)
- Now, I'll be very short on the references within the song, most of the notes in this section came from here, also you can see pics of how the single came:
* Of course, all the YOU parts in English, JK used to call almost all of them with YOU, I'm sure you've heard that.
* The hot green tea at the beginning, apparently it was JK habit to drink really hot tea even during Summer, so he was usually requesting it.
* The part of various planets/stars is actually reflecting a little the vision of JK of making their music available to the world, which is kind of ironic but after his death and many years in the future after Kanzai boya name, ENDRECHERI music is available for streaming, although I think it's region locked...which again... Also, Tsuyo had this last album called NARALIEN, meaning a connection to other planets.
* 'I can't believe it' and 'It's the worst' are phrases often imitated by Ko-chan and they usually have the same connotation as referring to something negative.
* Tusyo included a reference to their fans super beloved song "Ai no Katamari"
* This is something that was pointed out, and it's the fact that Tsuyo doesn't use here the common phrases as 'going to heaven' or 'becoming the wind', when talking about death, but rather 'becoming a soul'.
* So, "KANZAI BOYA" was a name they put up with while waiting and expecting a cool English name like SMAP. By the end, inspiration struck Mr. K with a new group name, "KinKiKids".

That was basically the same, LOL.
And that's it. Of course, there are parts that were really hard... but that's usual for a Tsuyo song, but I think this is a song to enjoy and to laugh at. A nice way of mourning I would say.

Btw, I'm entering my Winter break at school, and even though it's all uncertain after these two weeks I was intending to use them to subbing something because I love to do that. I was again, thinking about SZ, because why not? I love watching them either way. Also, I'm trying to help in translating to Spanish Miman Keisatsu, from English, which is so much easier, but that's just probably an excuse to watch the same episode like 4 or 5 times LOL, I'm really enjoying the show...I don't know if it's because I'm completely biased by the protagonists, but it's funny, it's entertaining, I know the plot has some questionable points, some really noticeable, but above all the entertaining factor is there. And the chemistry between the main cast is amazing. So, it's not like I'm doing nothing, but it still feels like I could be doing more...

Last but not least, I'm not fully satisfied with any of the translations done in this batch, I tried hard, I didn't just pick them to do it out of the blue, they got to me by really particular reasons...but the result... it's not close to being perfect, as perfect as I want it to be! and I'm kind of angry about it...
