Click to viewSo, this is a semi(?)-ballad by Wanima and after my first listening of their latest album COMINATCHA!! this was the one that called my attention the most. I'll write a bunch of things I've found on this song later, so first my translation attempt, this was hard, mainly because of the way Kenta writes his songs and also because I've been pretty busy with rl! So, I got kanji from here and give this song a listening!

[T|N]:I really like Wanima's ballads, they're always so beautiful~ So, the name of this song makes reference to this flower,
"Rindou is the landmark flower of Kumamoto, Japan, accompanying the presence of Mount Aso. Rindou is considered a September birth flower that holds the meaning of a strong sense of justice."
Kumamoto is the hometown of the members of the band and this is a song that talks to those people who feel lonely and can't seem to find the will to keep going. Let me write a couple of things that I found about this song, this is just a rough translation on different sources.
- The meaning of this flower in hanakotoba (flower language) is "I love the you that is in sorrow"
- The flowers of Rindo look small and weak, but they are rooted in the earth and their blooming is strong.
- The flowers don't bloom as a bunch and they take root strongly
- This song was performed before its release during Everybody!!'s tour.
- Kenta: There were a lot of people around me who had really difficult situations. And I really feel that people who are really tired or know their weakness can be kind to someone and become strong. No matter how hard the past is, if you accept it and sing along with someone, you will be able to live strongly.
The song “Rindo” was sung as "be strong strong as you remain weak", but it came from the people I met while I'm alive. I think that kind of feeling is still driving me. ..... " (Source)
- KENTA explained that the title of the album sounded cool for him, and “COMINATCHA !!” means “attack” or “cool”. I named it because it was very WANIMA-like.
- The PV is filmed in Kumamoto
Basically, this is a song meant for those who feel weak and it encourages them to continue just as they can, to survive. And while being weak to become strong.
I really struggled with pronouns in the song, so this time I just preferred to stick with the first pronoun singular, because even though it's an encouraging song I like it better how it sounds as if it's embraced, the strength, first hand by the person singing the song. And because, to me, it sounded better.
The part in which he sings about the rain and wind made me remember Koko ni, which is also included in this album. Also, the part when he says I'm here. I can't believe this is my 4th Wanima song... their style is really my thing~
I liked how fans commented on this song so heartfully,
- even if you're in a deep valley where the light doesn't reach, you can shine.
- the reality of the world is that there will be sorrow, but still be strong
- to those who bloom in a dirty society who hasn't stained them
- A song that reaches you, while fighting against loneliness and looking up into the sky.
I only hope I was able to make a little bit of justice to these great lyrics, they're really touching and after reading all of this that I didn't know about the song and its meaning, I just loved it even more. It really reaches your heart, at least mine.

So, now, I really don't have time, and I have classes tomorrow early in the morning, so, let me be short, I'm in a sort of semi-hiatus because exams, life, and my mom who is going to have a pretty scary surgery. So, my prayer is that everything goes fine and she can be better really soon. I'm trying to keep on doing lyrics translations but due to all of this is pretty hard. I can't even watch my doramas so... oh and just following Arashi on SNS these last couple of days was really exhausting. LOL.
