It's been a long time since I'm here with JUMP's lyrics, so I'm kind of happy that I could finally finish this, actually it didn't take so long to do it, but to start it~
Okay, I had something to say about this song, but I said it and now it's gone, it was something like I like the innocence underlying this whole song, it felt quite shounen-poi lol, to me at least, and for some weird reason I love this sort of encouraging songs, and the tone of it. It was my fave from their latest album PARADE since the first listening. Probably my second fave song is Fanfare, which brings me to the lyricist and composer topic, this song and Fanfare! have the exact same people behind lyrics and music, so, that's probably the reason I love both. They're also behind パレードが始まる which is the other song with a PV. The other composer also worked with the music of Summer Romantic a coupling song from Fanfare! single. And the lyricist also worked in Dai-chan's Bubble Gum which I love to bits. Also, both of them did the music for NEWS' 夜よ踊れ. I don't know if it's my impression but JUMP tends to repeat more than others the people behind their music and lyrics within an album. Either way, I have lots more to say on this "one" song, LOL, but here's where I got the kanji from. I'm too lazy and without time for adding romaji but I think I'll try some guessing on the colors, 'cause I really like that. in the future
Now, I have to mention this here 'cause I'll link my kanji source for the second song if you keep listening, there's a hidden track behind this song, the kanji is by ear, since I couldn't find any official lyrics on this nor even the name of the second song, I'll talk more on that later, but I got it from here and this person made the cutest little icon for JUMP's PARADE and I wanted to put this here so much, but go check it there LOL. [T/N]: That was long! Okay, let me order my notes first. Okay... First on notes on the first song:
- I love this song, even though it's a bit over the top, or a lot, lol, but I love these sort of songs, actually this album as a whole does seem intentionally over the top, as they're not even caring about it, and I'm not even talking about the hidden track! lol.
- I love that this song is long and it allowed a distribution almost by stanzas to the members, and I want to mention this, the second stanza that is not in English is Inoo's and I think this is the best I've heard from him, so good! I also loved Chinen's parts! Of course, Yabu's are always so nice and following the rhythm perfectly. I think this is a nice song for concerts 'cause it's easily applied as addressed to fans. I don't think I'll have many notes, this lyricist is really clean, and the stanzas' division is on point, really easy to follow and string the ideas together. The imagery is so beautiful, I love it!
- One thing I liked and find quite new is the stanza that talks about living a more 'exposed' life a more risky way of living. And the one following coming from Takaki's amazing voice is just perfect ending with the 'little miracles' part which is my favorite phrase without doubts.
So, I actually don't have notes, I tried to connect the ideas a little stronger in English but overall it was a very logic string of lyrics, I want to work in Fanfare!'s lyrics even more now, I really like that song~
Now, on the hidden track, the first time I listened to it, I said, 'this song ends at 5' 39'' for me!' LOL, I hated it! I mean there are so many weird and random sounds such as barking(?) and the 'me' part LOL, I've said earlier that a song with 'nanana' is instant love for me, but the ones with 'me' are an instant no! LOL. But let me tell you that it has grown on me, and now that I've read that Japanese fans were as puzzled as me with its meaning just made me feel way better LOL, 'why?!' it's the question for them.
- JUMP usually has this hidden tracks that in these digital days are not hidden per se lol, but I think it's a nice touch, and now having this crazy song...well, makes me wonder if they'll sing it in concert and how! in a couple of days lucky fans will get the answers or not ... hahaha
- Now, onto the 'me'. I avoided leaving the 'me' parts because it can be confusing in English with the actual word 'me'. In this case, I wanted to leave the actual hiragana sound. But instead, I translated it to 'Look' which I think it's close to what it would sound for the Japanese language...maybe? when it's not Sprout or eye. So, many times they're splitting the first part of the following word which starts with 'me', like sprout or lovely or auspicious, and it's hard to get it right!
- On the tiny part of 'cooked red rice' as in beans and mochi used for auspicious occasions.
- There's this part ** I marked with this, the transcription said that they weren't sure what they were saying like they couldn't find sense in the lyrics LOL to that. After thinking about it, I think they're just saying 'sprout' backwards, because 'sprouting' sang by Hika later sounds like 'hatsuga' and before that, they sound like saying something like 'tsuga-ha', and it wouldn't be the first time they do this inversion in the syllables, so I think it's that, but I didn't add it, either way, it would be something like 'ing-sprout' LOL it's insane.
- I don't know why they're talking about germination; sprouting; budding but that's my lyrics' translation's try. Although they do mention some sprouting in the first song...but I don't seem to be able to find any connection... Oh, and I've read a fan mentioned this song would be a good song to use as an alarm and I agree, how could you don't wake up with this! They also mentioned that the song's title/name is probably 'me' and I found this interesting, there's this little 'me' in one of the beasts in the regular version, you can see the tweet here.
I've been a little distanced from JUMP's news lately, but I'd love to know more about this song LOL. It's intriguing now. Either way, I tried to give some sense to the 'me' song but after quite a lot of sprouts I just gave up, so it's a translation, my best try... As usual, I'm really sorry about mistakes and worse mistakes lol and, as usual, none of the images or fanarts are mine!
And that's it! After all the things I've found about this song(s) I wanted to do this translation, especially because I wanted to have something from JUMP, it's not like I dislike them now, it's just life and I got a little caught in SZ's quest LOL!. So, I'm happy this is done. And I know I always say this, but I want to go back to Rajira! Especially now that they'll have concerts and probably invite the members! Either way, the other songs I like from this album are: of course Fanfare!, Kemono to bara, Love Equation, I and Call & Pray. This is definitely an interesting album, I think I still miss a little the cutesy they were used to deliver more often than not in the past and that was the same thing I complained about them! LOL, I'm sorry guys~
And that's it, my mom is better after surgery but still recovering, we had a couple of crazy days and that was one of the reasons I couldn't do this or the other 2 songs I definitely want to do. Those will be next!
