The results from Milhouse's test were apparently inconclusive as to whether he has lymphoma or leukemia. thechick has posted more detail, including a link if anyone would like to help us with the cost. We feel a little odd asking for money, but it's a pretty sizeable unexpected expense. And I'm trying to learn how to let other people help with things ( Read more... )

We took Milhouse to the vet again today. His lymph nodes are swollen, which is a strong suggestion he has some kind of lymphoma. On the plus side it's easier to get something a lab can test from his lymph nodes than to do a biopsy on the mass on his intestine. Milhouse seems to be gaining weight, which I think is a good sign. When you pet him you don't feel his spine so much as before. I just noticed today.

I've spent most of the morning hanging hats on the walls. They're mostly done now, at least the really interesting ones. I'm giving some consideration to hanging weapons now, but that's going to take a lot more work, so I'm having a breather. Our cat Milhouse hasn't been feeling well lately. He got an ultrasound yesterday, and there's a mass in his intestine. There are a lot of difficult decisions to make now. One of them is I might not be going to California for Baycon the weekend of Memorial Day as planned. I may stay home to take care of Milhouse.

Saturday evening we went to see a performance of Twelfth Night at the University of New Mexico. It was a poignant performance because it marked the retirement of two of the theatre faculty who'd been at the University over 50 years.
