Clay Finds a Family
So, ahem, it's been 2 months since my last update! I don't know where that time has gone! I've played here and there, but I guess I've just been so busy that I haven't had a lot of time for my sims. Sorry about that!
Anyhoo, let's check in with Clay Peshterianu and see what he's been up to this round. Last time, Clay moved into a studio apartment after splitting up with his girlfriend of 20 simdays. His son, Sam, visits often and Clay has been busy trying to fall in love again. Let's see if he has found success in love.
One of Clay's old flings came over for a visit and brought a friend over with her. The friend's name is Daisy McCarthy, and Clay falls in love at first sight. But he's been hurt before so he tries to take things slow even though Daisy seems to be just as interested in him as he is in her.
It turns out that Daisy is actually just in Little Hollywick on vacation. She lives on Twikkii Island, but Clay continued to keep in touch with her after her visit was over.
Eventually, Clay convinced Daisy to come spend a few days with him. They quickly took their relationship to the next level and started dating on simday 37.
Clay and Daisy had such a great time during her first visit, that Clay just didn't want to see it end. He wanted her to be with him all the time, and not all the way across the ocean on Twikkii Island.
Ever since his breakup with Celia Gates, Clay had a fear that he'd never find the person he'd want to spend the rest of his life with. And as the years passed, he began to think he'd never get married. But after meeting Daisy, he finally felt like he found the one.
Daisy only had one more day before she had to go back home, and Clay did not want that to happen. So he went to get some advice from another ex-fling, Penelope Lightfoot. Clay and Penelope used to have a thing together, but that cooled off a while ago and they've remained good friends ever since. Penelope told him that if he loved her, he shouldn't let her go. So Clay made a plan.
The night before her flight back to Twikkii, Clay took Daisy out for a very romantic dinner at Bernard's Botanical Dining.
Daisy was completely surprised when Clay asked her to be his wife. He told her that he never wanted to be a part from her again. And luckily for him, Daisy felt the same way! She gladly accepted and canceled her flight that night.
Clay and Daisy had a beautiful tropical wedding on simday 39 (which we'll see in a special update next). Daisy officially became a resident of Little Hollywick and Clay finally found a wife!
The couple wanted to save their money for a bigger place to live, so they did not take a honeymoon. But Clay's father (whom you'll meet at the wedding) had come in for the wedding, so he was staying with them in Clay's tiny studio apartment. There's nothing like your father being present for your first married woohoo!
Daisy had not been feeling like herself lately. She actually was very sick to her stomach during the wedding which she assumed was just nerves. But when the sickness didn't go away and she started noticing other signs (like how she was always starving), she began to suspect that she wasn't sick after all.
And sure enough, Daisy found out that she was pregnant! Clay is going to have another baby, which he's always wanted.
But early on in her pregnancy, Daisy started having cramps. She almost had a miscarriage, but the doctor put her on strict bedrest. Once she started getting some more rest, she had a much easier pregnancy.
The rest of the pregnancy went very well, and Daisy's tummy was as big as a house before she knew it! Almost losing the baby really scared her though, so she continued to get a lot of rest and take care of herself.
Clay has always wanted another child. In the 20 simdays that he was with his first love, Celia Gates, they only had 1 child. He would have had more if she would have let him. But now, he's just over the moon excited about this new baby! He never thought he'd get the chance to have another one.
Daisy finally went into labor on simday 42. After the birth, the couple couldn't wait any longer to move into a new place. A studio apartment just wasn't big enough for their new family.
They needed more space because Daisy ended up giving birth to twins! So they bought a new house out on Binsley Road, just down the street from Celia and Sam. It's much easier to see his son now that he's so close.
As for the new babies, Clay and Daisy had one girl and one boy. They named them Lillian and Haden. Both babies have brown hair from both of their parents and brown eyes from Daisy. Lillian has dark skin like her mother, but Haden took after Clay's skintone.
Sam loves his dad's new house. They even made up a room just for him when he comes over on the weekends.
After being an only child for so long, Sam Gates is so excited to be getting all of these new siblings. His mother had a baby boy back on simday 37, and now he's got a new baby brother and sister from his dad.
And Sam really likes his new step-mom. Daisy tries really hard to be a good mom and wife. She's always sweet to Sam and tries to make him feel at home with them. Even though she's nowhere near the cook that his mom is. But Sam and his dad just eat whatever she makes so that she doesn't feel bad. They usually giggle about it later.
Sam really has to get used to having so many babies around. He tries to help out with the twins, but he really doesn't like dirty diapers. He likes to play with them and feed them, but don't ask him to get his hands dirty!

While at Bernard's Botanical Dining, I saw Joe Lillard smokin' it up at the ol' bubble blower. I'm not sure Susie's parents would be happy to know what kind of guy their daughter is dating!

--Clay and Daisy are both family sims with the fertility bonus, so that's probably why they had twins. I was so happy that Clay finally had another family!
