Long Over Due

Sep 06, 2011 14:40

It has been almost 3 months since my last update, and I'm very sorry for that. I have not lost interest in LH or the sims community, as this post will hopefully prove, but my real life has been very tumultuous recently. Things are calming down and heading in the right direction and I feel that I can finally catch my breath and go back to doing the things that I really enjoy...like simming and blogging about it!

So, if you're reading this, then I apologize to you for my absence and silence about my absence, and I thank you deeply for still checking up on me! I played this family and took these pictures back in June, so this update might be a little weird b/c of my swiss cheese memory! Now onto week 6 for the Dingle family!

The Dingles live right next door to the Clock family, and Harmony Clock has been terrorizing all of the residents lately. So the poor Dingles have really bad luck for living right next door to her! Harmony is still mad at Harvey for threatening her husband and calling him a rat . She is constantly complaining to somebody about the "rat" incident. Harmony has been holding this grudge for over 20 sim-years!

Keri was tired of seeing her mid-section expand every time she looked in the mirror, so she decided to do something about it. She began an extreme workout regimen which included Tai Chi which she learned while on their vacation to Takemizu Village last year.

It's a good thing that Harmony Clock has decided to try to be friends with Keri Dingle after all their years of being enemies, because Keri is one buff lady these days and I'm pretty sure she'd kick Harmony's elder behind!

The 3 Dingle kids are all doing great. Dewey moved away to college and will start classes at LHU on simday 39 (in the middle of this week). Susie and E.T. are really going to miss him.

Before he left, Dewey made his move on Celeste Sellers. He is not technically dating Ella Clock but they have been "talking", and will even be living together in a dorm at LHU. But ever since he set his friend Celeste up on a blind date with Sam Gates, he's felt an attraction to her that he didn't realize until it was too late. But now that Sam is currently interested in Susie, Celeste is once again on the market.

I'm not sure where this little fling is going, but Dewey moved away to college shortly after this, so things are definitely not hot and heavy with him and Celeste right now.

E.T. idolizes his big brother and he quickly picked up Dewey's appreciation for red-heads. His best friend (besides Charlie Clock) is a cute little red-head named Piper...I think!

Susie's love life is even more complicated than her brother's. She's been dating Oliver Clock since simday 33, but she really fell hard for Sam Gates at prom during week 5. She gave her V-card to Sam on simday 35, but Oliver has no idea about that.

Susie still has the hots for Sam Gates, but she also knows that he is 2 years younger than she is. She doesn't really like the idea of dating a younger guy, so things have kind of been on the back burner for these two.

So she stayed with Oliver for the time being. He was hesitant to take things to the next level at first, but he finally gave in to Susie and had his very first woohoo with her on simday 36.

Sam invited Susie out to the karaoke pub one night and Susie being the social butterfly that she is, gladly accepted. It seems that the entire Clock family was at the pub that night and Susie got some flirting time in with Max Clock. She thinks he's super cute, but he's also much older and in a serious relationship, and at this time his girlfriend was still pregnant with their twins.

Liam Clock was also at the pub that night, and Sam quickly left Susie to go spend time with him. They are best friends after all, and maybe something more (at least Liam hopes so)?

So Susie went off in search of new men. And she found one that suited her fancy: teen-townie Joe Lillard. Susie really likes Joe. She likes him more than both Oliver and Sam! Perhaps she's finally found a keeper?

Shortly after that evening with Joe, Susie rolled up the want to break up with Oliver.

So she did. Susie and Oliver had a good 6 years together (simdays 33-39) and she was Oliver's first woohoo. So needless to say, he didn't take it very well.

After dumping Oliver, she rolled the want to go steady with Joe.

So she asked him out and he said yes. They officially became a couple on simday 39, just hours after she ended things with Oliver. Not long after, Joe gave her his V-card without any hesitation. That makes 3 different partners for young miss Susie!

During all of this, Harvey and Keri Dingle continued on with life as normal. Their kids were going crazy in the romance department, but Harvey and Keri were finally in a good place. Harvey kept working hard in his life of crime, hoping to still become a Mastermind although time is running out.

He had his elder birthday on simday 38, but he's still as evil as ever. He continues his studies of dark magic, and he still runs his underground poker circuit out of his secret basement.

After they took that trip to Takemizu Village to celebrate their 25th anniversary, Harvey and Keri have been doing very well together. They have fallen back in love, which makes me very happy. Harvey still thinks about his mistress from time to time, but he hasn't seen her for a few years now.

It wouldn't be a Dingle update without an abduction taking place. This time it was Keri that got to meet the aliens. Being a knowledge sim, this made her very happy! The family has gotten used to abductions, so they don't panic like they used to. Even their dog would rather take a poop in the flower bed than see if Keri is okay!

Speaking of Popcorn (the Dingles' dog), she's also doing well. Now that Dewey has moved off to college and Susie is a hormonal teenager, E.T. has become her best friend. They are attached at the hip. It breaks Popcorn's heart when E.T. gets on the bus and goes to school. And she waits for him to come home every afternoon!

She was also very sad when E.T. had his teenager birthday on simday 42. She knew he'd be starting high school and meeting girls and new friends. But E.T. has become a knowledge/family sim, so I'm sure he'll still make plenty of time for his old friend.

With Dewey away at Uni, Harvey and Keri only have 2 kids at home now. It won't be long before those two move away as well. Harvey's an elder now and Keri's not too far behind him. My oh my, time sure does fly by! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Random Picture:

Don't you just love silly glitches?

Gameplay Notes:
--Harvey Dingle was made by boolpropped
--Dewey will start Uni with Ella Clock and townie Stuart Downie on simday 39.
--Susie has me cracking me up. Her attraction scores fluctuate and she can't decide who she likes the most. So we'll just have to wait and see who she will eventually end up with!
--Thank you for sticking with me and for checking up on me. I appreciate your friendship and will be catching up with your journals as quickly as I can!
