Everybody loves a good Dingle
Here is week 5 for the Dingle family. We haven't seen them in awhile, so you can have a refresher on this family by checking them out on the Resident Info page.
If you remember, Harvey Dingle was abducted by aliens and gave birth to the towns first alien baby. At the start of the week, little Edgar Terrence Dingle (E.T. for short) was still a newborn. Even though Harvey is a criminal and an evil warlock, he's still a pretty good daddy.
Susie Dingle aged up to a teen on simday 29. I was really excited to see that she looks pretty good in the hair that I retextured, so she gets to keep it! Susie has become a Romance sim with a Family secondary.
Since Susie needed some new clothes, I sent her out for a girls night with her BFF Ella Clock. Susie and Ella met at one of the new community lots I downloaded from an_nas so I could see what it looked like, instead of going to the Sew Pretty Boutique. They grabbed a bite to eat first, took some photos in the picture booth, and then started some serious shopping!
They also hung out on the swingset next door to the shops where they ran into Danielle Pons who is dating Ella's brother Max. So Ella and Danielle chatted on the swings for a bit.
And they had a grand old time gossiping about Susie's dad and how the aliens used their probes on him. Teehee.
Back at home, Keri is doing really well in the Gamer track. Both Dewey and Susie think their mom has the coolest job ever.
E.T. had his toddler birthday. He's a cutie pie, although I'm not sure how those sunken cheeks are going to make him look as he gets older.
Once again, Harvey surprises me by being such an attentive father. E.T. learns how to walk, talk and use the potty in no time! And then his big brother Dewey taught him a nursery rhyme. This kid has been well taken care of.
Keri is possibly the only person in the world who does not like Harmony Clock. I have no idea how this hatred started, but these two are worst enemies. This little spat came about after Keri was looking at the Clock house through the telescope. But these two better find a way to get along because they very well might be in-laws one day, for reasons which you will soon see.
It looks like Oliver Clock finally found someone his own age to fall in love with. Susie and Oliver have a 2 bolt relationship (59 ACR) and are each other's highest attraction at this time; not counting Oliver's unhealthy attraction for the much older Celia Gates. Susie's second highest attraction is to Oliver's twin brother, Huntley Clock; they have a 36 ACR score. This was the first kiss for both Oliver and Susie.
Susie thought it would be so cool if her BFF Ella Clock was dating her brother Dewey, since Susie was dating Ella's brother Oliver. So she arranged a double date. Oliver and Susie went bowling with Dewey and Ella. Dewey and Ella have always been good friends, but there was never a romantic spark there.
But towards the end of the date, sparks seemed to be flying between these two. Dewey and Ella have a little attraction for each other (1 bolt, 30 ACR). If you remember, Ella was interested in townie Stuart Downie, but she likes Dewey more than him (21 ACR with Stuart). So the double date was a success!
Dewey and Ella started spending more time together, although they weren't officially dating or anything. But Harvey noticed that something was definitely going on!
Speaking of dating, Susie actually rolled the want to go steady with Oliver which surprised me because of her Romance primary. But I guess she's more of a Family sim than I gave her credit for. So she asked Oliver to be her boyfriend, and he accepted. They became an official item on simday 33.
It's a good thing that one of the Clock parents like the Dingle family, since two of their kids are dating Dingles (although Dewey and Ella are not an official couple, yet)! Stephen Clock is a regular at the Dingle house...he loves their game system.
E.T. had another birthday at the end of the week. His cheeks don't look as bad as I had feared. And there he is on the phone with his BFF, Charlie Clock. These two families are so connected to each other because they're really the only ones who have kids; besides the Gates family who have 1 son that is best friends with Liam Clock.
E.T. loves playing with their dog, Popcorn...poor neglected Popcorn. I haven't showed her at all this update! E.T.'s favorite game with Popcorn is pretending like he's throwing the stick for her to fetch, but then hiding it behind her back. They both seem to enjoy the game though, so it's okay.
E.T. also loves skilling. He's almost always got a want to raise some skill. He especially loves the logic skill and he maxed it almost as soon as he became a child. And as a side note, I hadn't realized just how much weight Keri has put on! It's probably because she plays so many video games...hmmm, perhaps I should join a gym so I don't follow in her footsteps!
Speaking of Keri and her video games, she achieved her LTW by becoming a Game Designer! She finally rolled wants to skill, so she earned her promotion all by herself.
Ella and Dewey have become more serious. I was surprised to see this happen. I wasn't really paying attention, but then I heard noises, and this is how I found them. I thought they were going to go all the way and woohoo, but they stopped at naked making out. So they still have their V-cards, but just barely! I doubt they'll have them for much longer.
Then this happened again! I was honestly hoping that he'd come back impregnated, but I didn't hear any lullaby when the aliens dropped him back off. So I'm pretty sure he is not expecting another alien baby. Darnit!
And last but not least, the Dingle family gathered for a family portrait. I'm updating the family portraits on the Resident Info page, so I needed a new one anyway. I'm also going to start decorating everyone's homes with family pictures, because that's what real people do! So you'll start to see more of this as major events happen to these families.

Gameplay Notes:
--Susie met the personality requirements for both the Romance and Family aspirations, but I chose Romance as primary because both of her parents have Romance secondaries and I figure they'd probably rub off on her in some way. That and I already have a bunch of family sims running around!
--I'm still deciding on whether or not I like Harvey without his evil green skin. I missed seeing his freckles, but he just doesn't look as evil now! What do you all think?
