Here come three more contest icons. None won any awards, though I was particularly hopeful the icon on the right would go over well. There's a bit of information making it's way around those communities on LJ whose focus is on imagery of various kinds, particularly communities related to the making of LJ-specific images like userpics, headers, etc. This information carries with it a potential for drama, the kind born of too much crossposting, ignorant complaining, unrealistic ( Read more... )

Last week's theme in iconbenders was a blast. It was called Quote Switch, and was a kind of crossover where you mix Avatar with some other media. A sufficient amount of time slipped by that I'm a bit behind on posting contest results; a state shortly rectified.
During the latter half of July aswimcontest held a Last Icon Maker Standing event wherein all the first place winners from past competitions (just shy of 50 icons) got passed through a series of elimination rounds, narrowing the field repeatedly ( Read more... )
