Fantastic Futuravatar!
Last week's theme in iconbenders was a blast. It was called Quote Switch, and was a kind of crossover where you mix Avatar with some other media. I chose to mix Avatar with Futurama and, as per the rules, made one icon with an image from Avatar and a quote/paraphrase from Futurama, and a second icon with an image from Futurama and a quote/paraphrase from Avatar.
The left and center icons were the two I submitted. The icon on the right was my first version of the earthbenderin' icon which was replaced due to the conceptual superiority of using Aang with his right arm encased in stone over using The Boulder.
The center icon won Best Use of an Avatar Quote ( tied with others). I had high hopes for the icon of Aang, but other icons got to the top ahead of me. :)
This week's theme is Laugh, for which I have an idea...
