I've just been to see the film Of Gods and Men a French film about a small group of monks living in a monastery in an unspecified North African country in the 1990s, with increasing secetarian violence. It was such a beautiful, important and humane film. It's about religion but also a humanitarian life view. It's the kind of film I wish everyone ( Read more... )

After watching the latest episode of Mad Men I just gotta say what an awesome, awesome show that is. It's all the better because it seems to have been building up to this season all along (I don't know if that's true in the sense that the writers thought like that to begin with, though). I've finally been to see A Single Man. And damn, I love this movie so, so much. I love it's bold mix of humour and deepest sorrow. I love how optimistic it is, despite the gloom.
