Ok, first off, again, didn't Mr. Obama hire some guy to make sure bills were not mish mashed with this that and the other thing? I mean seriously, what the hell do credit and guns have in common?
I really would like to know what this bill ISNT going to do. I was listening to someone on NPR today talking about credit and how the banks need to have interest rates at about 30% to make any money. Bullsh@t. That's all I can say. They make money from every thing you buy, they make money from you whenever you don't pay on time. They make money on a million other little things. I have no sympathy for the credit card companies.
As for the guns in Fed. parks. I don't really have an opinion. The concern is that it will lead to more illegal shooting, which it might. But I'm thinking in a huge park, there is already illegal shooting, done by criminals. Not so sure law abiding gun owners are going to change anything, or risk their own legal rights to go shoot something. And they still have to follow state and local rules, as I understand it. I mean, personally, I really wouldn't want to be all alone in a wilderness without some means of protection. So I guess it just depends.
Speaking of the law, what the heck is the law governing mopeds or whatever they are called? I see a guy in a suite driving his moped on the sidewalk (wrong side of the street no less) on my way to work. I saw a moped today that was driving in traffic, albeit badly, and didn't have a license plate. Doesn't a motorized vehicle like that have to have some kind of plate? It's basically a motorcycle. Ok, a poor mans motorcycle.
So last night I was at my father's and he's been coughing a lot more and not able to catch his breath after each fit, and he's had a fever for about five days, so I called his cancer doctor's office (honestly, I have no idea which doctor to call these days, as his cancer doctor saw him on Friday and gave us no info and wasn't concerned then about the fever and cough). They told me I should bring him to the ER, but he didn't want to go last night. I called his regular Dr's. office and they said the same. So he said he'd go in the morning. I took him over this morning, and they did an x-ray and found he has pneumonia. So he was admitted, which took all day. I went back to work at about 1:30 and he just got into a room at 5. But at least he will be in a cool room tomorrow, that's one thing off my mind, with the heat supposed to go to 90. I wish I could just sleep late tomorrow, but I cant. Timing is everything. And apparently the doctor said one of his heart medicines is a time release thing, and isn't supposed to be crushed. The funny thing is, the visiting nurse back in December who set us all up called the pharmacy to make sure all the meds he had could be crushed. CVS specifically said they were OK to be crushed. So who is wrong? CVS or this Dr. at the hospital?
I don't know how long he will be in the hospital. I'm hoping I get to sleep late Sat. morning. Selfish me. I really really need to sleep late. OH, crud, I cant. Sat. is newspapers. UGGG!
On other news.. I noticed three or four of the trees at the train station are mostly dead, and one is all dead. I need to report them to the town. They said that there was a two year warranty on them when I wrote to them before because no one was watering them. (in other words, we don't care if they aren't watered, they can be replaced.)
One of the lights I reported is out, but the other is still on. Need to re-report that, and a few more I've seen.
