HUGE sigh of relief

Liz's new visa came through this morning - only took 7 weeks (only!!).  She's  been granted Settlement status ie. indefinite leave to remain so that's a whole lot of stress gone. 

So Nano... toyed with the idea of doing it, but since the most creative thing I've written (outside of reports for work) in recent memory was a haiku I think I'm approximately 49,990 words short of having the faintest idea of what to write.  So... no, not this year.

Today, my wife and I went on a date for the first time in ages.  And it was wonderful.  It was another beautiful bright hot sunny day, the kind that Liz now realises after nearly 4 years living in the UK that you really have to take advantage of when they arrive because, lets face it fellow UK dwellers, this just could be our summer for the year.  ( Read more... )
