If you visit a local Barnes & Noble today, Friday, April 20 or tomorrow, Saturday, April 21 and make a purchase with a
bookfair voucher 15% of what you spend will be donated to MA public and school libraries. You can get vouchers from your library, on the
Catch the Beat bookfair website or by request at a cash register.
Every purchase* counts, no matter how small! The library with the most vouchers turned in (not the most money raised) will earn a $500 gift card. So, even if you don't want to buy a lot you can show your support. Stop by one of the cafes and get a cookie or a drink and help your library in the process.
Also, if you happen to live near the Burlington Barnes & Noble (98 Middlesex Parkway, across from the Burlington Mall) I'll be hosting a Teen Game Night with
ThinkFun brain games TONIGHT, Friday, April 20, 8-9pm. Teens who attend have a chance to win some great prizes, all of which were donated by Barnes & Noble. Not a teen? No problem! Stop by to say hi or volunteer your time running game tables :)
There are more librarian-run events all over the state. Check the
bookfair event page for more near you.
Here's a list of participating B&N stores. And please share the news with all your library-loving, bookstore-visiting, community-conscious friends!
