Since I left it dangling: yes, I did win NaNoWriMo. It was a dramatic victory. It was pretty thrilling.

I haven't been writing since then, though, and I miss it. I miss both fiction and journal-writing, as I haven't even been keeping up with my personal journal (the one that only my hard drive is privy to).

I don't know what to write, though.

This is probably my most dramatic NaNoWriMo year yet. I was behind the entire month of November, from start to finish, and I'm now rushing to write the last 9,500 words today. This seems fairly easy after entering Thanksgiving weekend with 30,000 words out of 50,000 to write, but I still gotta put in the time and the effort to finish ( Read more... )

I have been frustrated all month long by the lack of smooth sailing this November.  Still, I'm getting through it.  And I guess I should focus on that.

Currently I'm at 42,407 words... sort of.  I think I forgot to mention in my last post that I lost 6,131 words while I was out of town, because I wrote those words on a laptop that no longer works.   ( Read more... )

Ahh, I'm at 2,068 words already.  I am pretty proud of myself, especially considering I started knowing only that my main character was alone in the woods and fleeing for her life.  I went on from there, pausing several times to get my bearings, and plunged into the story.  I caught myself falling into the character-is-thinking-by-herself trap and ( Read more... )
