Thursday I ran out of time to post, so here I am writing at the end of Friday.  We had a quiet Fourth of July.  Nick, Dad, and I played tennis at the elementary school nearby for about an hour and a half.  It was our first time playing tennis since last August and it felt GREAT.  We were rusty, of course, but that didn't keep us from having fun.  ( Read more... )

I guess I spoke too soon.  The happy vibes wore off and left me with this story that still leaves me cold sometimes.  I don't know what's wrong with it, except I guess I've lived with it too long.  This is why Chris Baty strongly suggests inventing an entirely new story and spending only a week preparing it before kick-off.  That's what I'll do ( Read more... )
