Today was the first day of Tues./Thurs. classes. I went to Intro. to Drama, but didn't go to Archery and Golf. I've decided to drop that class since it's pretty much impossible for me to get from one side of campus to the other in ten minutes. Looks like Chris has broken up alot. It didn't even reach hurricane status before turning back into a tropical depression. They say it could possibly turn into a hurricane when it hits the Gulf of Mexico, but it's not very likely. That's a relief to me. I was starting to get worried about my friends in the coastal areas.

Just watched the weather forecast. The local meteorologist thinks it's gonna head into the gulf of Mexico and become a cat 2 hurricane. They say it should be a cat 1 by the time it reaches Puerto Rico. I hope that it doesn't gain too much strength. I think I've had my fill of hurricanes in my life......one is plenty for me.

When is the hurricane season supposed to end? This is just getting insane. We thought Katrina was the worst hurricane ever....now it looks like Rita may top that. I just hope it doesn't take the same path Katrina did. These people don't need to go through that again. Work has been telling us they were gonna dock us if we called in on Mon. and Tues. because of Katrina. Evidentally they've decided they're being real stupid about it and told us yesterday that they would be compensating us for those two days if we called in 'cause of weather conditions. My ex, David, lives in Long Beach, MS. I was very worried about him 'til I heard from him the day after Katrina hit. Cell phones weren't working too well at that time, and I was at work. It's not so bad right now. Just alot of rain and wind. It's supposed to get worse, but Katrina has already been downgraded to a catagory 3. I don't expect it to get too bad here.
