There's alot of stuff I keep forgetting to post
Work has been telling us they were gonna dock us if we called in on Mon. and Tues. because of Katrina. Evidentally they've decided they're being real stupid about it and told us yesterday that they would be compensating us for those two days if we called in 'cause of weather conditions. When someone asked the "unit director" about the people that came in early and worked over, she told them they will get comp time for that. Ok, in case I haven't told y'all what comp time is, it is time you get that you can take off later, but you don't get paid for it. Now, there were alot of people that came in early and a few that stayed over. They are gonna be pissed about that. Also, they have been telling people that if they stay over for the next month they'll get overtime. I don't believe that for a second. First of all, they're trying to get rid of overtime all together. Secondly, there are going to be alot of people staying trying to get money for Christmas and such. You tell me that this stingy piece of shit place that calls itself a hospital is gonna pay all these people when they don't want to pay all the people that stayed when Katrina hit.... I don't think so. I think they're gonna recant that and tell all the people that have worked the overtime in the past week or so that they'll be getting comp time for the days they stayed. Do you have any idea how pissed that's going to make people? Makes me glad I didn't stay over on Sun. or Wed.
