I pre-ordered my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows today - guaranteed to arrive on the release date (a Saturday) or it's free. Which is cool. The last book got spoiled for me, so I plan on not leaving the house or using the internet until I'm done (which will probably be sometime early on Sunday morning.) I'll be just about ready to re-

Leonard asks me if there's anything I need to know before he dies, I think about it for a minute, turn to him, say what's the meaning of life, Leonard? He laughs, says that's an easy one, my son, it's whatever you want it to be

I am sick. I am a highly functioning kind of sick, which is good. But I'm still sick. Basically I'm going through gastro hell - have been for the last two weeks it seems. It's seemingly reached it's worst over this past weekend, and I was at my most uncomfortable yesterday and today. I couldn't figure it out, it was such a strange set of symptoms:

The weekend came not a moment too soon. I know the work-related madness will continue until the Big's go up to their cottage for a week or so in August. Whatever madness I book for them while they're gone will be not my problem, as I'm leaving for New Hampshire directly after - we will pass like ships in the night.

As usual, we ended up getting much less done last night than we had anticipated. Not because of time, well - a little bit because of time, but more so because of us just being effing exhausted. Traffic was terrible due to a heavy-ish rain and bad-ish roads. Two hours to get from work to Oakville. LAME. SO GLAD I won't have to do that anymore. So we

Recently I read "Blink", a post-read to "Tipping Point." Both awesome books, Blink had a section about how we often make snap decisions based on race. I had an interesting experience today

So I was productive last night. I stopped at the bank to cash two weeks worth of paycheques, went to Home Depot to look at vessel sinks, went to U-Haul and bought heavy duty boxes and box tape, and then to Canadian Tire to buy two big Space Bags. Yes kids, space bags. Those things you put duvets and sweaters in and then suck all the air out of them

Got back a signed and altered offer today. So it's in negotiations, but we're on our way. Essentially, it's not written in stone, but we have acknowledged that I want to buy; they want to sell to me. The major factors like price and closing date are not under dispute, but a few small details in specific clauses have to be ironed out before the
