I've been reading mostly fanfic, followed by novels, for a long time now.  Reading so much is making it easy for me to read my doctoral level texts.  Read 500 pages in 2 days?  Easy-peasy.

In all my years in the fandom I have never once come across a fic where Norrington has asked Gov. Swann for Elizabeth's hand in marriage.  Maybe I never saw one because I wasn't looking for one, but we know it happened.  Gov.
