Gov. Swann and Norrington

In all my years in the fandom I have never once come across a fic where Norrington has asked Gov. Swann for Elizabeth's hand in marriage.  Maybe I never saw one because I wasn't looking for one, but we know it happened.  Gov. Swann knows and approves of the asking during Norrington's promotion ceremony.  Elizabeth seems to know too, maybe she was eaves dropping when Norrington asked her father?  I can see Elizabeth doing that.

And now I want that conversation.  I think I might want to write it.  I don't know why I'm suddenly overcome with Norribeth ideas.  I blame Florence + The Machine.  :]
