I know why I have low self-esteem but what I don't get is how *anyone* can manage good self esteem. How can you be in your life so intimately familiar with every flaw, mean thought and wrong doing not to mention missed opportunities and things unsaid and gather up enough good to lift the esteem ( Read more... )

Just looking over old entries and there was a series of about 6 private posts from last year at this time that all used this icon (and all said pathetic and miserable things - that I won't delete now because they are too powerful a reminder of how sad I can really be when things aren't as bad as they could be).

I haven't posted much of my emotional state lately ... my angst exhausts me and I cringe at past documentation of it but ... in general I have been pretty unhappy; manifesting itself lately as often in anger as despair.
