Sorry I'm behind again on LJ again. I've been dealing with dehydration (dry mouth, exhaustion, etc, etc). I'm drinking plenty of water now and lots of coconut water, too. I'm feeling a little better but I'm still not back to normal yet ( Read more... )

At Target, I found these cool "pops" for planting seeds. The first has lollypops you eat, then the seed stick gets planted. The next two pics are Garden Pops. The seeds are in the form of a lollypop that you plant in the ground,and the stick identifies the type of seeds. Have any of you ever grown seed pops?

13. International Plant Appreciation Day. Do you have houseplants? Do they thrive?

I have a lot of them! Most of my houseplants are in the living room by the windows. There’s some in every room. My oldest houseplant has been around for almost 20 years! Some of my plants don't do well but most of them are happy. :)

Yesterday I went shopping at the grocery store and saw a big display of Spring plants! I'll go back on the weekend to buy some. I can't carry a lot and I needed to get food this time.

They had these pretty Cineraria flowers in very bright colors! :)

Every Christmas I buy poinsettias and keep them after the holidays are over. Last year I didn't have much luck because they only lasted a couple of weeks. But this year, I've only lost one so far. I saw this pretty plant on sale and decided to bring it home. Mandevilla, also called Rock Trumpet, is a tropical vine. I love the color and the shape of the petals. :)

Volunteer plants start out as seeds that get carried by the wind or some other method and end up where you don't expect them. This was a pot that had soil and no plants, but then I noticed a little seedling there in Spring and now it's become a lot bigger ( Read more... )

My Christmas waxed Amaryllis bloomed at the end of January and now it's blooming again!
