Primroses

My primroses are starting to fade away, but here's what they looked like a few weeks ago!

More primroses and the daily questions under the cut...

4. It's all about walking today - do you often walk either for leisure or to get from one place to another rather than taking a car/public transport/bike? Do you live in an area with trails where you can go walking?

I like to take daily walks, either in the small park next door (where there's circular walking path) or through the neighborhood where there's lots of nature to enjoy. There are some trails, but the closest one is a bit far away so I haven't checked it out yet. I also walk when I go shopping. If it's not in walking distance then I'll take a bus.

5. Is it raining? When was the last time you had rain in your area. Is there a lack of rain that's causing concern?

It poured this morning for an hour and now it sunny. No drought at this time.

6. Clas Thunberg, a Finnish speed skater known for winning five Olympic gold medals was born today in 1893. Can you skate?

I enjoyed skating when I was younger. But now that I have osteoporosis it's too risky to do it. Don't want to break any bones!

7. William Wordsworth was born in 1770 and is probably best known for his poem "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" which mentions "A host, of golden daffodils'. Are there daffodils flowering where you live (were they early, or are they late)?

We've had daffodils blooming here for the past month.

8. Pablo Picasso died on this day in 1973 at the age of 91. Have you ever seen a Picasso artwork in real life?

No, but I wish I had!

9. National Cherish an Antique Day - a day to find out about anything you've got that has been passed down through the family. Or maybe you've bought something that you will pass down? Do you have any antiques?

I have one of my grandmother's rings that my mom gave me. I also have a small collection of coins from the 19th century. They're not in mint condition, so I didn't have to pay much for them!
