As of yesterday the weather has become the worst kind there is - grey, overcast, damp and muddy. We had quite a lot of snow on Sunday, but yesterday it started melting and you can imagine what it looks like now. My two weeks off from work start tomorrow and for the last few days my students have been asking me what my plans were. They were all very sorry for me when I told them I didn't plan to travel anywhere, but I don't mind. I'm not a big fan of winter, so travelling in winter holds no appeal whatsoever for me. I feel I'll have to rethink this whole being an independent woman thing. I've just hauled a living tree more or less as tall as I am up the first floor (that would be the second floor in the US) together with my sister.
