I am so excited.  Tonight, for the first time since 1998, I am seeing Jason Webley, accordion master, live!!  This time, on purpose.  The only other time I have seen him he was performing on the street without a license at Bumbershoot music festival in Seattle.  I was in a musical rut and he completely inspired me, and continues to even today.  So ( Read more... )

Choke was a great movie.  I laughed incredibly hard, and I was sucked in.  Mostly, it was quite faithful to the book, and I reccomend everyone (even people who, like me, loved the book more than is probably healthy) go out and see it.

This weekend has gone both ways already, but most of it was good.  Let's start with the downs - they're the most exciting.  First was my fitness reassessment on Thursday; I lost no weight, but my body fat percentage had gone down more than 5%!  Woo, I guess all this working out has paid off!  The next downturn was Friday afternoon's visit to

This year was even more fun than last year - we were further back in line, and ended up waiting longer despite arriving an hour earlier, but the people on both sides of us were funny, friendly, and, perhaps most importantly, had brought some great beer.  We offered up one of our three remaining bottles of Dark Lord '07, and in exchange received ( Read more... )
