The Dark Lord Rises Again
This year was even more fun than last year - we were further back in line, and ended up waiting longer despite arriving an hour earlier, but the people on both sides of us were funny, friendly, and, perhaps most importantly, had brought some great beer. We offered up one of our three remaining bottles of Dark Lord '07, and in exchange received some other amazing stouts (and one IPA) that have me *still* tipsy. Yes, I'm a bit of a lightweight. I haven't tried the '08 Dark Lord, but I anticipate it will be excellent. The Vanilla Bean aged Dark Lord available on tap was amaaaaaazing; instead of the simple vanilla essence you often get, the fruity pungency of the beans were readily apparent in this offering.
