Well, today is the last day of my 20s, because I'm turning 30 tomorrow!
I'm actually a big fan of aging gracefully, and I'm hoping to be more "together" in my 30s than I was in my 20s.

Still, it feels like the end of an era! I can't pretend to be a "youth" much longer :)

Ouff, what a "hangover" from last night. The Conservative government in this country was re-elected with a majority government for the first time since the 1980s. This means they don't really have to play nice with other parties, only walk a sort of tightrope of not doing anything that will deny them re-election ( Read more... )

I had my last Labour Studies 101 class the other day. Interesting, I thought it might ease my transition to once more being a unionized worker somehow, but I didn't expect that a unionized job would just fall in my lap in the middle of the course ( Read more... )

Only one day of work left!

Today was the longest, slowest day I believe I have worked in the 4 months at that job :) OK, maybe my memory is misleading me, because I actually had stuff to do all day, but still... when the mind is elsewhere...

Well, I got a call from the full time job. They didn't offer me the position I interviewed for, but they did offer me a data entry position, full time, $15.35/hr. Could be worse, in this economy! So, I'm going to take it, and go with it for a little while.

They gave me 2 weeks for the start date which also makes it easier to reshape my old job
