resignation
Well, I had to resign my job at the college yesterday.
OK, it's not as dramatic as it sounds. It just turns out that I can't just cut back my hours willy-nilly if I want to go back to school next month. I had to actually resign my full-time position and get hired on as a sort of "permanent casual". This also isn't as bad as it sounds, since my full-time contract was set to expire in October anyways.
I'll be taking 3 courses at UBC starting in September.
-Modern India
-Indonesian language
-Southeast Asian Literature in Translation (Indonesian, Malay, Filipino)
Not bad eh!
So much for having more free time this fall, though. If anything I will actually have a lot less time than I do now.
